Instrument Services
I handle all aspects of guitar care, from routine setups and restringing to complex structural repairs and complete restorations. Whether it’s an acoustic, electric, or bass, every instrument that enters the shop receives the same attention to detail and respect for craftsmanship. My work ranges from fine-tuning playability and solving tricky electronic issues to reviving vintage guitars that deserve a second life. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with everyone from casual players to touring professionals, and my goal remains the same: to make every guitar play and sound its absolute best.
Set-ups
The most common form of maintenance for the instrument. Optimizing the playability by ensuring the correct amount of relief in the neck and setting the string height at the nut and saddle. Cleaning and conditioning of the fretboard and polishing the frets. Ensure all the hardware is snug, clean the electronics (if any), and finish with a new set of strings to the player’s preference.
Fretwork
All manner of fretwork, from leveling and recrowning the frets as they begin to wear, to partial and complete refrets. The way to achieve a great feeling when playing guitar starts with excellent fretwork. Stainless frets are also available.

Electronic Repairs & Modifications
Switches, jacks, and pots wear out over time, or sometimes you want to explore new tones. Whether it’s replacing components, rewiring circuits, or installing different pickups, a full range of electronic services is available to keep your instrument sounding its best.
Structural Repairs
From split tops and lifting bridges to crack repairs and broken headstocks, structural issues are handled with care and precision. Each repair is done with the goal of restoring both strength and appearance, ensuring the instrument remains solid and reliable.
Neck Resets
As acoustic guitars age, the constant pull of string tension can cause the neck angle to shift, leading to higher action. When the saddle can no longer be lowered to compensate, a neck reset may be necessary. Though it’s a detailed process, when performed correctly, it brings the guitar back to its ideal playing condition — responsive, comfortable, and true.

Pickup Rewinds
Pickups can fail for many reasons, such as age, moisture, or simple wear, but that doesn’t always mean replacement is the only option. While installing a new pickup is sometimes the most practical fix, certain vintage or rare models deserve a second chance. In those cases, a careful rewind can restore the original output, tone, and character that made the pickup special in the first place. Every rewind is done with attention to wire type, tension, and winding pattern to maintain the integrity of the sound.
Additional Services
Beyond standard repairs and maintenance, I offer a variety of custom solutions tailored to each player’s needs. Whether you’re chasing a specific tone, restoring a family heirloom, or troubleshooting a long-standing issue, I’m happy to help find the best approach for your instrument. If you don’t see your particular service listed, feel free to get in touch; there’s a good chance I’ve handled something similar before.
